Want to Get Rid of Dark Under Eye Circles?

If your eyes look baggy, sag or exhausted, there might be some reasons why you are experiencing such.  And probably you want to do something about it.  Don’t you know that puffiness in your eyes can be attributed to a lot of reasons such as illnesses, hormonal problems, allergies and most often too much fatigue?  They can be itchy sometimes; red or swollen to the point you would feel uncomfortable having those eyes…

Sometimes, it can be hereditary.  Check your bloodline if it runs in your family.   Better yet, check on the real cause of those baggy eyes and find solution from there.  Don’t you know that eye bags are formed due to lack of elasticity and firmness?  They appear because of fluid build up and once elasticity around the skin becomes thinner they are likely to reduce skin suppleness.
UNT Eclat Eye Gel - Dark Circle Eye Treatment

To reduce puffiness, you can try these simple ideas yourself:  Use chilled eyes or cold spoon and put them around your eyes; or chilled tea bags, cucumber and can be used as often as possible.  Avoid rubbing your eyes as it may cause irritation and may worsen your allergies.  Take out your contact lens before bedtime.  Nothing beats than having a nice, comfy 8-hour sleep to a healthy looking, pretty eyes.  Hydrate yourself by drinking plenty of water everyday and a big no-no! on too much salty foods.

There are so many products being offered both offline and online in reducing dark circles around eyes like moisturizing creams.  Do your research and check if appropriate ingredients are present in the product that you would want to buy.  There are review sites that talk about products and testimonies of people who have used the products that you can also check for additional info.

Dengue Alert!

The outbreak of dengue fever in North Cotabato is very alarming. It attacks young and old alike and there are already reports of deaths in neighboring town. I was totally worried too because my family and kids reside in this area. I am not sure if the municipal government has done something like "fogging" the entire area to help eliminate the killer mosquito!

I received an overseas call today informing that my second child was not spared by the attack. It surprised me with a bit of shock which made me worry all day. It is just my hope and prayer that Titus will fight the illness and recover soon. When a plague hits a certain place, I know that no one is exempted. The least we can do is to be vigilant and must know the necessary strategies to prevent dengue fever from striking.

What is Dengue fever (DF)?
Dengue infection is a flu-like illness spread by the bite of an infected female mosquito “Aedes aegypti” or commonly known as dengue fever.
Occasionally the patient suffering from dengue may develop bleeding in the nose, gums or skin. Sometimes, the patient may have coffee ground vomiting or black stools. This indicates bleeding in gastro intestinal tracts and it is serious.
When should I suspect Dengue?
When you have a sudden onset of fever usually 39-40 degrees Celcius, Dengue should be suspected. It is accompanied with pain behind eyes, body aches, severe headaches, nausea and rash on the skin. The fever lasts for 5-7 days and comes down on 3rd to 4th day but comes back again. Often this illness leaves a feeling of discomfort after illness. If symptoms persist, consult your doctor right away.

Precautions:

To prevent the mosquitoes from multiplying, ensure that all premises are clean and kept from mosquito breeding sites. Drain out the water from drums, buckets, tanks, and coolers/window air coolers, etc. (when not in use).
Remove all objects containing water (e.g. vases etc.) from the house. Collect and destroy discarded containers in which water collects e.g. bottles, plastic bags, tins, used tyres etc.

Protect yourself from mosquito bites!
Dengue mosquitoes usually bite during day time. Highest biting intensity is about 2 hours after sunrise and before sunset.Wear full sleeves clothes and long dresses to cover as much of your body as possible.

Use repellents(Off! Clip-On Mosquito Repellent) be careful in using them in young children and old people.

To prevent dengue you may use coils and electric vapour mats during the daytime. Use mosquito nets to protect children, old people and others who may rest during the day.

Beat the Summer Heat

Eat, Drink, and Be Healthy: The Harvard Medical School Guide to Healthy Eating
In summer when the sun is high and sometimes you can’t bear its heat, the best thing to do is to drink a lot of water. Don’t you know that a healthy lifestyle affects our immune system that helps us beat the winter or summer months? Anyone can be a victim of flu and other illness during summer, so here’s some tips to bear in mind:

• Always wash our hands. This is simple. It’s the best way not to catch any germs. Better to have a hand sanitizer with you ready anytime.
• Getting a lot of sleep- eight hours of sleep will give you revitalize energy to keep you strong and healthy. According to experts, sleep deprivation weakens our immune system and makes it susceptible to a lot of illnesses.

• Eat the right balanced diet to ensure you put vitamins and minerals into your body. For maximum health benefits, choose raw foods rich in fibre. Some immune fighting foods include Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Zinc, some minerals from raw fruits and vegetables.

• Keep moving! A regular physical activity releases toxins from our body and strengthen our immune system. It plays a very important role in keeping us from sickness.
Healthy lifestyle doesn’t mean only taking foods that we like to eat. It’s a matter of choice.

Lumps in the Throat

Treat Your Own Neck. This is the best lesson I've learned so far after getting some lumps on my throat a couple of days. The scorching heat with 54% humidity dries up my throat and since my AC is not working well and not getting enough nutritious food in my busy days, had all add up to the pain I was bearing.

I tried to neglect the small lumps thinking that it will cure on its own. I misinterpreted this disorder until it grows into a bigger lumps just like the size of a golf ball and it starts hurting me.

I immediately sought my doctor's advice, though thanks goodness it was not cancerous as I thought it was. Most lumps are not cancerous, but any lump or change in a lump should be paid well attention. Any symptoms of throat infection should not be neglected. To prevent anything from taking its worst, one must take precautionary measures. One way is to take steps to boost our Immune System naturally.

Though I felt guilty for not accurately pampering my body as it deserves lately, still I would like to share some important tips:
Invest in your sleep and that's eight hour a day to combat stress. Drink lots of fluids which is always the best way to flush away toxins from our bodies. Load up your bodies with tons of fruits and vegetables which is imperative for maintaining a healthy and strong body. Good exercise, etc. etc.
