Tarpaulin Printed Pageant Sashes!

Pageant sashes are usually worn by candidates to represent their countries or organization in a beauty contest.  Most often,  sashes are given to the winners with their final ranking may it be first, second etc.  Usually they are made of silk but with the new technology, we can customize sashes and print it on tarpaulin canvass.

Here's how you can customize your design:
  • Using Photoshop or Coreldraw software in your computer, customize your layout by creating first the size of your sash. (I made 3" x 36").
  • Add background color.  There are so many free background colors that you can grab, just Google it.
  • Write your texts and make sure they are attractive and should be readable.
  • You can further add graphics that complement to the award written.
  • Save it on Jpeg format.  If you are using Coreldraw you can copy the whole graphic and paste it on Paint and save to Jpeg format.
  • Have them printed on any tarpaulin printers near your place.  With a cutter, cut your layout and add tassel (usually yellow or white).
  • You can add any picture, company logo, etc.

World Teachers Day

Today, we commemorate the world's teachers day..a UN recognized day giving tribute to all Teachers.  This is one way of saying "thank you", appreciating them for the essential role they play in giving quality education at all levels.

Definitely there are different activities planned for today's event which everyone can expect at every school worldwide.

Some High School students walked in our shop today and literally ask on any  gift giving ideas as a token of appreciation to their beloved teachers.  I came up with  suggestions which some of them availed and pay at very reasonable rates.

*  write a poem and print on a special scented paper, roll or fold it and put nice lace and ribbons.
*  create a collage or pictures using your favorite site like pizap, photobucket, photoshop or coreldraw and mount on a photo frame (8R or 8 x 10) size is preferable.
* Using a nice fan (folded or native created), print the event logo and paste it on.  You can add some lace or glitters depending on any available materials.
*  Create nice beads (pearl necklace and earrings would be the best), and wrap it on a special card box
* With nice small cologne spray bottle, you can put in your favorite scent, and print the logo on it.
*  Create today's event logo or you can use the image on top to create a lei. Accentuate it with scrap booking laces and flowers to make it more attractive.
* wrap it up with bunch of red roses, chocolates  with a simple note.

There a lot ideas that you can explore.  Be creative to win your teachers heart today....

North Cotabato Math Olympics Finally Set

The first and one of its kind Math Olympics in North Cotabato Province was finally launched and was successfully participated in by more or less 45 districts today and tomorrow.  There were various activities planned for two days which all math lovers await with full excitement hosted for the first time by Pres. Roxas Municipality.

There are individual and team quiz events that encourage team efforts.  Certificates and awards were given to the winners.  Most of the participants win or lose, all go home with a smile on their faces.

Karith was just so lucky to represent her class in Grade II together with other two kids in a Team quiz.  In easy rounds, they were able to answer four out of five questions.  They don't have much luck in the average round since they manage to get only  two correct answers.  Unfortunately in difficult round, they got only one correct answer pushing them on the 12th place.  Anyway, there's more room for practice Karith and your team.. Better luck next time!  Truly it's a team effort, thanks to your team mate who volunteered to help you get more air (using hand fan - pamaypay).

To all number and math munchers.. see ya next year!
